Me as a dog
Omelette’s Comic Con excursion was a success! We were there for just a few hours in the morning and mainly wandered around outside, across the street from the convention center (no animals allowed in the building, except service animals). We took it really easy to avoid overwhelming Omelette and spent most of our time sitting in the shade and people-watching.
Om blew me away by how well behaved he was. He was so friendly when people wanted to pet him; he’d pose when people wanted pictures of him; he walked really well on his leash; he wore his outfit without complaint; etc etc. Honestly since it was his first time I was preparing for a corgis-gonna-corg situation, but he was fantastic. Very very proud of my little guy!
Now he’s off to “corgi camp” at the breeder’s for the next couple days while his humans enjoy the rest of SDCC. :)
Umm… where’s my milkshake?

paparazzi would show up to a celebrity’s lesbian wedding and be like ‘so-and-so looked classically chic at elaborate friendship ceremony with long-time ‘gal pal’ so-and-so. the two reportedly shared a completely platonic kiss and vowed to be ‘best friends’ for life’
hearing the media talk about lesbians is like trying to watch the 4kids version of an anime

In preparation for tomorrow, can we, as a fandom, agree to ignore the two separate but equally frustrating factions of the fandom that threaten to remove our enjoyment of the SDCC goodies we’re about to receive?
- Haters—just block ‘em. Block ‘em hard. Delete their messages, block them on your dash, TS/Xkit all the anti-whatever nonsense that pops up out of nowhere. They have no power. Adam and Eddy are going to write what they want to write and enjoy the story they’re writing. The actors are going to love the acting they get to do and the characters they get to play and the relationships they get to develop on-screen. We should take a leaf out of their books and just focus on the positivity.
- Chicken Littles—AKA “THE SKY IS FALLING EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE HORRIBLE”. There are some who will respond with terror to every little cliffhanging, trolling teaser dropped by the writers and the cast. They will assume the worst for every spoiler. They will predict the doom of ships, characters, plot consistency, and what have you. Pay it no mind. We have a LOT to look forward to this season. Some even-handed criticism/speculation is fine—I’m not saying we should be all sunshine and roses about EVERYTHING if we’re genuinely wondering/not enthusiastic about a particular spoiler. But let’s not turn everything into a doom-and-gloom fest.
Tomorrow is going to be AWESOME for oncers, for CSers, for fans of a great show with great characters that is going great places. Let’s just enjoy the bountiful goodness that SDCC brings us in the form of interviews, new photos, and glorious, glorious spoilers :D
